Hey Peeps! How have you been? I am on a vacation to my hometown and not able to get clicked for new posts. I was browsing in my camera and I have lovely memories from recently concluded Bangalore Times Fashion Week to share.
Today, I will be showcasing quick and easy evening outfits – something every woman should have. Because it’s all about looking your best – always.
We women always have a common problem that we don’t have anything to wear. Especially, when it comes to an unplanned occasion.
The Bangalore Times Fashion Week
Something similar happened to me around two weeks back. I was invited to the Bangalore Times Fashion Week (7th and 8th of October). Just in time, I got an invite on 4th which was a weekday and I panicked. I always keep 1-2 spare outfits which can come in to rescue in such sudden occasions.
This event was scheduled for two consecutive days and I went through the same feeling that I didn’t have anything to wear. Being invited to the Bangalore Times event was huge for me and I just wanted to look well dressed for the part.
My first reaction
I panic at first go and then sit back calmly to decide if I have something to wear for the event or I need to go shopping. And this time I decided not buy anything new plus not to experiment a lot with my look.
I read somewhere “A woman should be two things: classy and fabulous”. So I always try to follow it especially in a new environment. I took out 2 pretty dresses from my closet (both of them was gifted by husband). Remember one thing your husband’s choice can never go wrong, after all, you are his choice (*wink*).
Day one of The Fashion Week
For the day one, I wore a full sleeved grey bodycon dress with a belle shoe by H&M. To complete the classy look, I paired it with a dainty necklace and earring set by Tanishq. I wanted to look classy and unique from the crowd so settled for my classic Daniel Wellington watch to adorn my wrist.
Day one makeup
For the base, I used moisturiser and foundation by MAC. On my eyes, I have applied pallet glittery smoky eye pencil by Sephora . On my lips, I have applied Victorian Rose 24/7 lip definer by Bella Voste. Blusher on my chicks is by Makeup Revolution which I got in my Princess box for the month of September. I could not do any hairstyle. Hence, left my hair loose.
The second day was even more exciting for me as my favourite designer Neeta Lulla was showcasing her contemporary ethnic collection. For the event, I stuck the old rule -“When in doubt, Wear black”. I still remember my first dress was a black one and I am sure most women who love wearing dresses have at least one LBD in their closet.
The black sequin dress by Faballey is a showstopper in itself. If you want to stand out while clubbing your hearts out, sequinned dresses are just meant for you.
My black dress has a deep back to give a sneak peak of your hard work at the gym. I paired the dress with metallic sandals by Mochi. By the way, if you haven’t checked Mochi’s new collection of sandals yet, go have a look. I am sure you would love that.
Day two makeup
Base, eyeshadow and blusher used are the same as day one makeup. I decided to go for even more luscious lipstick for an overall bolder look.
I have applied Aquarage liquid lip colour by Makeup Forever. This lip colour has lip gloss as well on the other side of the package. In case you are a glossy makeup lover you can apply that as well.
Evenings to remember
Both the evenings were jazzy, glamorous, embedding memories to cherish for a long time. Do let me know what you feel about these two looks of mine in the comment section below. Also, let me know if you want me to share the complete experience of the event. I would love to do that.
